During the week of summer camp, gymnasts create a group routine to show the other groups on Friday. This fun activity is designed to develop teamwork and respect for one another’s performances. Parents are certainly welcome, but not expected, to come and watch.
Summer Program Information:
The summer camp program is for gymnastics for girls and boys, and runs by the week in the morning and/or afternoon.
Choose both morning camp and afternoon camp if you want to register for full days.
Summer Camp works a little differently than during the regular season. Rotations are 15 minutes long. There is a 15 minute snack break after the first hour and 15 minutes of camp. This is followed by a non-gymnastics activity for 30 minutes each day. There is not a specific conditioning rotation at camp, but gymnasts who want to do conditioning can choose to do that instead of the daily non-gymnastics activity. Each group makes up a small show for the last day of camp, and there is a 15-minute rotation each day to practice the show. Gymnasts will then receive a certificate at the end of the week from their coach which highlights something they achieved during that week.
In the summer camp program, certain weeks may have both girls and boys in the same group. The grouping depends on registrations for each particular week time period.
The gymnasts remain in the facility and are supervised at all times.
The gymnastics club is air conditioned.
Fees:
The administrative fee is $40.00. This is not a registration fee. Read all the information sections above to know what situations, or other unforeseen circumstances, this fee pertains to.
The service fee is 4% of the transaction total and is charged on every transaction. This is the cost of online registration and is subject to change at any time throughout the year.
The annual registration fee is $40.00 and is charged once per gymnastics year (July 1 to June 30), and covers each participants insurance and registration with Gymnastics Ontario.
