Project Description

Summer 2020 Gymnastics Camp

Starts on Monday July 6 and Runs for 7 Weeks of Camp

Registration Information and Policies:

Summer Camp 100% online registrations are available.

Summer registrations are accepted as long as there is availability.
Summer registrations are also taken during the summer for weeks that have availability.

During the summer: On Friday of each week, if there still is availability, registrations for the following week will only be taken until 2 pm.
The 2 pm deadline will not be extended for any reason or circumstance.
Week 1 exception: Registrations are only taken until June 24 at 2 pm.

ABSOLUTELY no registrations will be accepted after these dates and times.

Payment:
All registrations must be completed online using Visa or Mastercard.

Refunds:
Refunds will not be issued for gym closures due to storms, power outages, outbreaks, floods or other unforeseen circumstances.

There is an administrative fee charged when there is a full or partial refund issued by the club, for any circumstance. Contact the office regarding refunds. Refer to the Fee section below for pricing.

Make-Up Classes:
No make-up classes are permitted.
Summer camp fees are only on a per-week basis. No partial week registrations permitted.

Minimum Group Enrollment:
Summer camp programs require a minimum of 3 gymnasts per group. If a class must be cancelled due to lack of enrollment, parents may switch to a different available week or receive a full refund.

Requests:
No requests for a particular coach are accepted.

Requests to be with another gymnast who is in the same class will be accommodated where possible. Enter the friend’s name in the “Pairing with a Friend” section.

If there are two gymnasts who want to be together in the same group, the older gymnast will be grouped with the younger gymnast’s age group. All the gymnasts are in the gym area, so if they are not in the same group, they will still be able to see each other while they are at gymnastics camp.

Age:
All gymnasts must be the correct age on the first day of the camp week they are signing up for.

The Woodstock Gymnastics Club reserves the right at any time to ask to be shown the gymnast’s birth certificate or passport for verification of the registered gymnast’s date of birth. Failure to provide age verification within one day from being asked, will result in the gymnast being removed from the camp for the remainder of the week.
Removal from the camp will result in a full or partial refund. There is an administrative fee charged when there is a full or partial refund issued by the club, for any circumstance. Refer to the Fee section below for pricing.

Clothing for Gymnastics Classes:
Girls wear leotards, t-shirts, tights, shorts or sweatpants.
Boys wear t-shirts, shorts or sweatpants.
Everyone should have bare feet for gymnastics, and long hair should be tied back.

Parent Viewing:
Parents are welcome to view all gymnastic camp groups through the observation windows located in the hall running along the side wall of the gym.

Parents are not allowed to remain inside the gym area past the wall with the handrails, or in the snack/activity room.

Mini-Show:
Morning camp mini-show will start Friday 11:30 am.
Afternoon camp mini-show will start Friday 3:30 pm.
During the week of summer camp, gymnasts create a group routine to show the other groups on Friday. This fun activity is designed to develop teamwork and respect for one another’s performances. Parents are certainly welcome, but not expected, to come and watch.

Summer Program Information:
The summer camp program is for gymnastics for girls and boys, and runs by the week in the morning and/or afternoon.

Choose both morning camp and afternoon camp if you want to register for full days.

The maximum class size is 7 gymnasts per instructor for 4 years of age to 17 years of age.

This inclusive camp offers gymnasts of all levels, from beginner to competitive, the opportunity to train together in a safe and positive environment.

In the summer camp program, certain weeks may have both girls and boys in the same group. The grouping depends on registrations for each particular week time period.

The gymnasts remain in the facility and are supervised at all times.
The gymnastics club is air conditioned.

Each mid-morning and mid-afternoon there is a 15 minute snack break.

There is an optional 30 minutes per half day for either an activity/game or extra conditioning, flexibility and basics. On the first day of the week each gymnast will tell us if they want to do the activity/game option or the extra conditioning, flexibility and basics option for the entire week. The choice each gymnast makes on the first day of summer camp is for the entire week. Gymnasts are not allowed to change their choice partway through the week for any reason or circumstance.

Each day during the camp there will be 15 minutes for the Friday mini-show routine practice.

After the Friday mini-show, each gymnast will be given a certificate and a ribbon.

Fees:
The administrative fee is $50.00. This not a registration fee. Read all the information sections above to know what situations, or other unforeseen circumstances, this fee pertains to.

The service fee is $10.50 and is charged on every transaction. This is the cost of online registration and is subject to change at any time throughout the year.
