The 100% online 2019-2020 competitive registrations start on Monday August 12 at 1:30 pm.
The competitive program runs from September to and including June. 100% online registrations end on Monday September 30 at 8 pm. As long as there is availability, you can join this program either starting the month of September or October only.
The program is for girls and boys from age 6 to17. Gymnasts must have been in the Woodstock Gym Club’s pre-competitive program previously for a minimum of 7 months, prior to joining the competitive program. There are no tryouts for the competitive program. The majority of Pre-Competitive gymnasts remain in the Pre-Competitive program, and do not ever join the Competitive program.
All registrations must be completed online using Visa or Mastercard.
Refunds will not be issued for gym closures due to storms, power outages, outbreaks, floods or other unforeseen circumstances.
There is an administrative fee charged when there is a full or partial refund issued by the club, for any circumstance. Contact the office regarding refunds. Refer to the Fee section below for pricing.
One class change per gymnast (where available) is permitted free of charge during each of the following time periods:
September to December
January to March
April to June
Each subsequent change (during the same time period) will be charged an administrative fee. Contact the office regarding class changes. Refer to the Fee section below for pricing.
No make-up classes are permitted.
Minimum Group Enrollment:
Competitive programs require a minimum of 3 gymnasts per group. If a class must be cancelled due to lack of enrollment, parents may switch to a different available class time or receive a full refund.
The competitive program is for girls and boys from age 6 to17.
A copy of the athlete’s birth certificate or passport is required to be kept on file at the office. The office will have a copy of this information since the gymnast has been in the Pre-Competitive program previously.
Clothing for Gymnastics Classes:
Girls wear leotards, t-shirts, tights, shorts or sweatpants.
Boys wear t-shirts, shorts or sweatpants.
Everyone should have bare feet for gymnastics, and long hair should be tied back.
The following items are purchased online:
Download the girls and boys uniform sizing charts here.
When purchasing girls leotards, girls tracksuits and girls shorts, you must also e-mail the club with the appropriate measurements, before your order can be completed.
Once the online orders are received, the office will place orders with the various companies at the beginning of each month.
There are no refunds given for ordered uniform items.
Post a note on the competitive bulletin board if you have any uniform items you wish to sell. Include the item name, size, contact name and phone number.
Parents are welcome to view all classes through the observation windows located in the hall running along the side wall of the gym.
Parents are not allowed to be past the wall with the handrails inside the gym area.
There are only three optional invitational meets available for the competitive gymnasts to attend each gymnastics year. The optional invitational meets will be posted under the Merchandise Tab in Amilia by mid-September. 100% online meet registrations end on Monday September 30 at 8 pm.
The fee for the program is based on 40 weeks of classes during the months of September to June. There are over 43 weeks in this time period. This is important to remember when the club is closed, or has to cancel a class, or when the gymnast needs to miss a few classes throughout the year. The club is always closed for a staff holiday break around the last week of June, and for a Christmas and New Year’s holiday break in December.
The administrative fee is $50.00. This not a registration fee. Read all the information sections above to know what situations, or other unforeseen circumstances, this fee pertains to.
The service fee is $10.50 and is charged on every transaction. This is the cost of online registration and is subject to change at any time throughout the year.
The Gymnastics Ontario insurance fee is $25.00 and is charged once per gymnastics year (July 1 to June 30).
The Competitive Program Fee is $450.00 and is charged once per gymnastics year (September 1 to June 30). This will include the cost of the G.O. program fee and help offset travel and coaching costs for competitive meets. This does not include the individual meet registration fees.
The following fees are for 3-hour gymnastics practices, minimum of 2 times per week:
6 hours per week = $276.00 per month
9 hours per week = $346.00 per month
12 hours per week = $389.00 per month
15 hours per week = $455.00 per month
The program runs from September 2019 to and including June 2020.
The program had to be set up as an online monthly subscription, because gymnasts are allowed to choose their practice days from the schedule.
At time of registration, the first month’s fee will be charged immediately, and the following month’s fees will be charged on the last day of the previous month.
Gymnasts can start at the beginning of either September or October, as long as there is availability. Registration must be completed no later than 8:00 PM on the last day of the previous month.
Gymnasts are allowed to withdraw from the remainder of the program before the last day of the previous month, by cancelling their subscription.
Gymnasts are allowed to withdraw and rejoin (where available) during the same gymnastics year (September to and including June).
The Woodstock Gymnastics Club’s goal is to provide a fun, positive and inclusive gymnastics experience for all gymnasts. Our athlete-empowered program provides safe and positive instruction for each gymnast. The Woodstock Gym Club does not run an elite or hardcore competitive program.
The maximum class size is 8 gymnasts per coach for girls and 6 gymnasts per coach for boys.
