HISTORY

1977
- Under the auspices of The Downtown Y


1979
- Became a separate entity known as "The Woodstock Gym Club"


Summer 1979
- Located at the small gym at W.C.I.


Fall 1979
- Located at St. Mary's Junior High School


1982
- Became incorporated under the Laws Of Ontario


1982 to 1989
- Located at the girls' gymnasium at Huron Park Secondary School


1985 to June 1991
- Satellite program at Burford High School


1989 to Dec. 1990
- Located at Downs At Cedar Creek Golf And Country Club


Jan. 1991 to July 1996
- Located at 63 Clarke Street South
Building is now a recycling depot



July 22, 1996
- First day in our new 15,000 sq. foot state of the art gymnasium center
at theWoodstock District Community Complex Facility (381 Finkle Street)
(12,000 sq. foot gym; 3,000 sq. feet in office area, meeting room,
and female, male & family washrooms)



August 2000
- Purchased 2 - 20 foot Air-Trak inflatable gymnastic surfaces
thanks to a grant from The Ontario Trillium Foundation



February 2002
- Purchased new Resi Pit Modules to replace the club's old worn-out modules
thanks to a grant from The Ontario Trillium Foundation



June 2003
- Purchased new Floor Exercise Area to replace the club's old worn-out floor
thanks to a grant from The Ontario Trillium Foundation
